During IMTEX 2025 in Bengaluru—one of India’s key metal-cutting events—Filtermist participated in various activities designed to bolster relationships with Indian manufacturers. (Learn more about our presence at IMTEX in our MTD interview.)
As part of the UK-India Manufacturing Trade Mission, organised by the British Deputy High Commission Bengaluru’s Engineering & Manufacturing team, Filtermist attended a networking exhibition and dinner at the Ritz Carlton Bengaluru. This event connected UK companies in advanced manufacturing with Indian businesses, providing an excellent platform to discuss innovation, collaboration, and the growing importance of clean air solutions in industrial settings.

Later in the week, AACG’s OEM Key Account Manager James Stansfield joined a guided tour of some significant Indian manufacturing facilities, including Ace Micromatic Group—one of India’s largest and fastest-growing OEMs. Witnessing their operations firsthand highlighted the scale and ambition of Indian manufacturing, reinforcing the demand for reliable air filtration solutions.

India's manufacturing sector is experiencing significant growth, with its contribution to Gross Value Added (GVA) projected to increase from 14% to 21% by 2032. This expansion is driven by government initiatives, corporate capital expenditure, and infrastructure investments. However, this rapid industrialisation has historically contributed to air quality challenges in the country.
To address these issues, the Indian government has implemented several regulations. The National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) set permissible limits for various pollutants, including particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and carbon monoxide. Additionally, the National Clean Air Program (NCAP) aims to reduce air pollution levels by 20% to 30% by 2024, targeting over 100 of the most polluted cities in India.
Engaging directly with OEMs and industry leaders in India is vital to Filtermist’s commitment to supporting manufacturers with effective air quality solutions. Thank you to the Absolent Filtermist India team for their support throughout the week!
