Filtermist International hosted its own stand at the IMTEX show in Bangalore for the first time earlier this year and this approach proved extremely successful.
Headed up by National Sales Manager for India, Ashutosh Arora, the Filtermist team welcomed a significant number of visitors to the stand over the course of the eight-day show. Ashutosh was joined by Filtermist’s UK based Director of Group International Sales, Stuart Plimmer, who also took the opportunity to visit some Indian customers whilst he was in the country.
Ashutosh comments, “IMTEX provided an excellent opportunity for us to meet with a large number of visitors and explain the benefits of installing Filtermist oil mist filters to them in person. We were also able to show them exactly how Filtermist units work thanks to the ‘demister’ demonstration unit on the stand. We received a significant volume of orders during the show and we have already installed a number of Filtermist units for customers that saw us at the exhibition.
“One job involved installing ten FX4002 units, all fitted with F Monitors to make it easy for the customer to see that the extraction is performing as it should. This particular customer has ordered another six units so that all of his machine tools are equipped with effective oil mist extraction.”
India’s thriving manufacturing industry, coupled with the fact that air quality is high on the national agenda, means the country offers significant potential for Filtermist. The company registered a dedicated business which is based out of offices in New Delhi last year, and has ambitious growth targets.
“We have traded in India for many years and it is a key market in our ongoing expansion plans,” says Stuart. “We were confident that exhibiting at IMTEX would open more doors for Filtermist and we are very pleased with the results so far.”
